We had a problem with the recorder today, so there was no sermon posted on the website. Here's a quick summary:
Pastor Tom talked about prayer. . .how to pray, when to pray, what to pray about. He took his message from Ephesians 6:18-24 where Paul says to pray on all occasions. . .pray in your own words anytime you want. Be conscious of God at all times. We pray for God's people everywhere. We seek God's assistance for us and for others. We pray for strength to walk worthy of God's blessings. We are selfish in our prayers and pray mostly for ourselves. The word "PUSH" on establishment doors should remind us to PRAY UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS! We need to pray powerful prayers.
Romans 8:26-27 says that the spirit helps us in our weakness. God searches our hearts. Remember, it's His will, not ours. Paul spoke the truth and was put in chains for it. He prayed to make his message more powerful, and encourage people to respond by coming to the Lord.
Unity and strength give us peace. We need to love with faith from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. He sends grace to all who love the Lord. Our prayers need to be about spiritual matters. We glorify God in our prayers.
May God hold you in a special place today and every day.
